The online program introduces fall protection to new roofing workers and consists of three lessons.
In LESSON ONE, you'll learn about a variety of injuries you could encounter while on the job such as burns, body parts getting caught in machinery, electrical shock and back strain and some simple ways to protect yourself.
LESSON TWO focuses on different kinds of fall hazards that are common to roofing work and the scenarios that can put you at risk.
LESSON THREE shows you systems to protect y ourself from falls by using guardrails, warning line systems, personal fall-arrest systems and safety monitors. This program serves as an overview of important safety terms, concepts and processes associated with roofing projects and provides critical orientation to new roofing workers.
This program is the first of a three part series: Introduction to Fall Protection for New Roofing Workers, Low-slope Fall Protection for New Roofing Workers and Steep-slope Fall Protection for New Roofing Workers. The second and third programs, Low-slope Fall Protection for New Roofing Workers and Steep-slope Fall Protection for New Roofing Workers, will be released soon.
